Community Interest Company Class I Kids operates for the benefit of parents and children in Gateshead by offering quality recycled and new school uniform items at affordable prices to meet all budgets. Class I Kids is a social enterprise, donating profits made to local schools.Class I kids was formed in 2006, following the realisation of a dream. Directors, Mary Fleming and Tracey Patterson were inspired to create the innovative social enterprise to support parents and children to meet the cost education.
Both Mary and Tracey are parents themselves and recognise first hand the issues of meeting the financial strains of affording school uniform and decided to do something about it. In 2005 they approached the Economic Development Service in Gateshead Council who supported them to make their dream a reality.
